AideBoard
Terms of Service
Effective September 28, 2026 · Version 2026-09-28
1. Who we are
AideBoard ("we," "us") is operated by GENAK Estates LLC or future inheriting LLC, Tolland, Connecticut. AideBoard is an online job board at aideboard.com where home-care agencies serving Connecticut and Massachusetts ("agencies") post caregiver job openings, and caregivers apply to them.
2. Accepting these terms
You accept these Terms by checking the acceptance box when you create an account. If you do not agree, do not create an account. We will notify you of material changes by email and by an in-app notice, and continuing to use AideBoard after the stated effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
3. What AideBoard is — and is not
AideBoard is a job board and marketplace: a place where agencies and caregivers find each other. That is all it is. AideBoard is not:
- a staffing agency, employment agency, personnel agency, nurse registry, or home-care registry;
- an employer of caregivers, a payroll or tax service, or an "employer of record";
- a care provider, medical service, or medical device;
- a background-check company or a credential-verification service;
- a guarantor of anything — we do not guarantee applicants, interviews, hires, shift coverage, caregiver quality, or credential accuracy.
We do not place, refer, or match caregivers with agencies, and we do not participate in hiring decisions in any way. Search and filter tools on AideBoard simply organize information that users chose to publish; they are not recommendations.
4. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use AideBoard. You confirm this with a checkbox at signup.
- You must give accurate information at signup and keep your account credentials private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Agency accounts: the person who registers an organization confirms they are authorized to act for it. AideBoard is open only to home-care agencies serving Connecticut or Massachusetts, and the person registering confirms the organization is one; the software does not accept other kinds of organizations. AideBoard does not check agency licenses — each agency is responsible for holding any license or registration it needs. New organizations are reviewed before activation. That review is an access decision for our platform only — it is not a licensure, insurance, credential, or background check of the organization, and may not be described as one.
- We may decline, suspend, or remove accounts as described in section 13.
5. Rules for agencies (the hiring side)
If you use AideBoard as an agency, you — not AideBoard — are solely responsible for every part of hiring and employment, including: verifying credentials, licenses, and work eligibility; deciding whether and how to run background checks; interviewing and hiring decisions; wages, payroll, taxes, insurance, and workers' compensation; supervision, training, and workplace safety; and compliance with all employment, anti-discrimination, and home-care laws that apply to you.
At registration, every agency must check the following boxes (this exact copy is live in the product):
- "My organization is a home-care agency serving Connecticut or Massachusetts. AideBoard is open to home-care agencies only — not private families, hospitals, clinics, or staffing agencies. AideBoard does not check agency licenses; your agency is responsible for holding any license or registration it needs."
- "My organization owns all hiring decisions, background checks, and employment compliance. AideBoard does not screen, vet, or endorse caregivers, and caregiver details are self-reported."
- "I will not enter patient names, diagnoses, medications, care plans, or any other protected health information in AideBoard."
- "I am 18 or older."
6. Rules for caregivers
- Everything in your profile — roles, availability, location, preferences, and any phone number you add — is self-reported by you. You promise it is accurate and yours.
- You decide what to share and with whom: whether your profile appears in the agency directory (it does not unless you opt in, and even then agencies see only your first name and last initial), your applications, and whether to grant any agency access to your contact information.
- You are an applicant using a job board. AideBoard is not your employer, agent, or representative and receives no part of your pay.
7. Nothing is verified by AideBoard
Profiles, experience, credentials, availability, and everything else users post are self-submitted and not verified by AideBoard. Words like "verified," "vetted," "screened," "background-checked," "certified," or "guaranteed" do not appear on AideBoard because none of those things happen here — and users may not claim them either (section 12).
8. No patient information — zero tolerance
AideBoard is for staffing logistics, never for patient information. You may not enter patient names or identifiers, diagnoses, medications or dosing, care plans, clinical notes, insurance or record numbers, patient photos, or private home addresses tied to care — anywhere, including free-text fields. Our software rejects submissions that appear to contain such content before they are saved, and rejected text is not stored. Repeated attempts are grounds for suspension. Describe jobs operationally instead: role, schedule, city or region, and requirements.
9. No discrimination
Job posts, profiles, and any other content may not solicit, prefer, or exclude people based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic. Our software screens for this and blocks it; agencies remain responsible for lawful hiring regardless of what any filter catches. Bona fide occupational requirements (for example, a language requirement for a specific assignment) are permitted.
10. Contact sharing
Caregiver contact information is never public and is never shown to an agency automatically. Contact information means the caregiver's email address and, if the caregiver chose to add one, their phone number and preferred way to be contacted. The only way an agency sees it is: (1) the caregiver applied to that agency's job; (2) the agency requested contact access for that specific application; (3) the caregiver explicitly granted it. Caregivers can decline requests and can revoke a grant at any time, which removes the agency's access going forward. Requests are limited per agency per day and every request, grant, decline, and revocation is logged. Caregivers can also block an agency — which ends any sharing with it, stops its requests, and hides the caregiver from its searches — and report an agency to our moderators. A caregiver who declined or revoked can choose to share again later; agencies cannot ask again.
11. Your content and our license
You own what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, moderate, and back up your content — only as needed to run, support, secure, and improve AideBoard and to comply with law. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising. The license ends when your content is deleted, except for legally required records and our audit and moderation logs.
12. Acceptable use
You may not: scrape, harvest, or bulk-export data; spam, harass, or defraud anyone; misrepresent your identity or credentials; post claims that AideBoard verifies, endorses, or guarantees anyone; buy, sell, or share accounts; probe or disrupt our systems; or use AideBoard for anything unlawful.
13. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, or decline registrations for violations of these Terms — including attempted PHI entry, discriminatory content, misrepresentation, prohibited claims, scraping, harassment, or security abuse. Where reasonable we will tell you what happened and how to appeal; we may act first and notify after where safety or legal exposure requires it.
14. Fees
AideBoard is currently free for both agencies and caregivers. There is no checkout, no stored payment information, and no charge of any kind. If that ever changes, we will publish pricing and payment terms, obtain the required approvals, and give existing users clear notice before anything is billed. No future fee will ever be a placement fee or contingent on a hire.
15. AI-assisted features
AideBoard currently has no AI features enabled. If we add drafting assistance (for example, help writing an operational job post), it will be limited to operational content, it will never provide clinical, legal, HR, immigration, or hiring-compliance advice, it will never make or recommend hiring decisions, and its output will pass the same content filters as everything else.
16. Disclaimers
AideBoard is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any posting, profile, application, or hire will meet your expectations.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GENAK Estates LLC (or future inheriting LLC) and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to AideBoard — including disputes between agencies and caregivers, hiring outcomes, or user conduct. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions limit these exclusions; where they do, these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.
18. Indemnification
You will defend and hold harmless GENAK Estates LLC (or future inheriting LLC) from claims arising out of your content, your use of AideBoard, your hiring or employment decisions, or your violation of these Terms or of law.
19. Accessibility
We want AideBoard usable by everyone. If you have difficulty using any part of the service, contact us at accessibility@aideboard.com and we will work with you on an accommodation.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or AideBoard will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits rights that consumer-protection or employment law gives you that cannot be waived.
